PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Synthetic tailpipe condensate collection tank
The condensate collection tank is mainly used for safe condensate collection, gas-liquid separation, and subsequent treatment of condensate in the treatment of tail gas containing dichloromethane (DCM) and water, with the following specific applications and design points:
1. Core application
Condensate collection: The gaseous dichloromethane (boiling point 39.6°C) and water vapor in the tail gas are condensed to liquid state by condensing devices (e.g. condenser, low temperature coil) and collected in the tank to reduce the emission of harmful substances.
Gas-liquid separation: The separated gases (e.g. uncondensed VOCs, air) can go to subsequent treatment equipment (activated carbon adsorption, incineration, etc.), while the liquids are temporarily stored in the collection tank.
Media Separation and Recovery: Dichloromethane and water are stratified in the tank (DCM density 1.33 g/cm³, sinking; water in the upper layer), which is convenient for separate recovery or disposal.
2. Applicable working medium characteristics
Main components: Organic phase: dichloromethane (may contain traces of other halogenated hydrocarbons, dissolved organic matter).
Aqueous phase: may contain dissolved DCM (solubility approx. 1.3 g/100 mL water, be aware of azeotrope formation).
Potential Risks: DCM is volatile and toxic (carcinogenic), protect against leaks and fugitive emissions.
The mixture may corrode ordinary carbon steel (corrosion-resistant material required).
3. Supporting system recommendations
Front section condensation: need to cooperate with low temperature condenser (such as -10ºC~5ºC refrigerant) to improve DCM recovery rate.
Back-end treatment: If the aqueous phase contains residual DCM, it needs to be connected to wastewater pretreatment (vapor extraction, activated carbon filtration).
The gas phase is connected to the adsorption or incineration device to meet the standard discharge.
4. Precautions
Maintenance requirements: Regularly check the effect of phase separation and the sealing of the drain valve to prevent cross-contamination.
Clean the bottom of the tank of impurities that may be deposited (e.g., polymers, particulate matter).
Compliance: Comply with VOCs emission standards (e.g. China Comprehensive Emission Standards for Air Pollutants GB 16297).
The collection tank is the key transition equipment between organic solvent recovery and tail gas treatment, and needs to be customized according to DCM concentration, tail gas flow and other parameters, taking into account the safety, environmental protection and economic benefits.

TRANSPORTATION
Given the substantial dimensions of our pressure vessels, which often exceed 20,000mm (787") x 3500mm (137") x 3500mm (137") or weigh more than 40T, transportation by truck is impractical. To overcome this, we partner with a nearby port. Initially, we transport the segmented devices via truck to the port. There, we expertly weld the pieces together, forming a complete unit. This full equipment is then shipped to the Shanghai port, ready for export across the seas.
