The broad understanding of a reaction kettle is that a container with physical or chemical reactions can achieve the heating, evaporation, cooling, and low-speed mixing functions required by the process by designing the structure and configuring the parameters of the container. Reactors are widely used in fields such as petroleum, chemical, rubber, pesticides, dyes, pharmaceuticals, and food. They are pressure vessels used to complete processes such as vulcanization, nitrification, hydrogenation, alkylation, polymerization, and condensation, such as reactors, reaction pots, decomposition pots, polymerization pots, etc; Materials generally include carbon manganese steel, stainless steel, zirconium, nickel based (Hastelloy, Monel, Inconel) alloys, and other composite materials.
A high-pressure reactor refers to a type of reactor that operates under high pressure. According to the process requirements, there are two types of high-pressure vessels with and without agitators, with the former having the same structure as the mixing equipment. Its structural characteristics are: (1) The kettle body is a high-pressure cylinder with a thick shell. In order to resist high temperature and corrosion, stainless steel is commonly used, and carbon steel or low alloy steel is also used as the shell. Stainless steel is the inner layer material and can be directly made of composite plates or liners; (2) Generally, there are no openings on the kettle body, and the connecting pipes, interfaces, and accessories are all located on the kettle cover; (3) The top of the kettle is equipped with a safety relief device, such as a safety valve, bursting disc device, or a combination of both.
The reaction kettle is composed of the kettle body, kettle cover, jacket, agitator, transmission device, shaft seal device, support, etc. When the height to diameter ratio of the mixing device is large, multi-layer mixing blades can be used, and can also be selected according to user requirements. A jacket is installed outside the kettle wall, or a heat exchange surface is installed inside the vessel, or heat exchange can be carried out through external circulation. The support seat can be a support type or ear type support. Gear reducers should be used when the speed exceeds 160 revolutions. The number, specifications, or other requirements of openings can be designed and manufactured according to user requirements.
