Product Description

Expansion tank, also known as high-level tank, is essential in the heating system of liquid-phase thermal oil furnace.
The high-level tank is usually set at the highest point of the system, so in addition to accommodating the thermal expansion of the heat transfer fluid, it also has other important functions, such as emptying light components in newly filled products and low boiling materials generated during operation, supplementing evaporation and operating losses, nitrogen sealing, etc.
In practical use, some high-level tanks of certain devices often require nitrogen sealing. One of the functions of the high-level slot nitrogen seal is to prevent the oxidation of the heat transfer fluid due to contact with air, and to apply a certain pressure to maintain the operation of the liquid phase.
Generally speaking, the oxidation of heat transfer fluid can be controlled through system settings, operations, and the addition of high-temperature antioxidants, such as raising the position of the expansion tank, using small-diameter expansion tubes to prevent convection between hot and cold oil, and controlling the temperature of the high-level tank to be below 60 ºC. If the initial boiling point of the heat transfer fluid is higher than the maximum operating temperature of the system, nitrogen sealing may not be used; If the initial boiling point of the heat transfer fluid is lower than the maximum operating temperature of the system, some components may vaporize, causing pump cavitation and significant evaporation losses. In this case, nitrogen sealing must be used.
