Product Description

The dehydration tower reboiler is a special type of heat exchanger whose main function is to vaporize the liquid again. It is usually used in conjunction with a distillation tower and has a vaporization space for exchanging heat. The structure of a reboiler is similar to that of a condenser, but its function is opposite. The condenser is used for cooling, while the reboiler is used for heating and vaporization. In the reboiler, the material level is kept at the same height as the fractionation tower level, and the liquid phase enters the reboiler from the bottom line of the tower. Usually, 25-30% of the liquid phase in the reboiler is vaporized, and the vaporized two-phase flow is sent back to the fractionation tower. The gas-phase components returning to the fractionation tower pass upward through the tray, while the liquid-phase components fall back to the bottom of the tower, thereby maintaining the liquid level balance inside the tower. This design allows the dehydration tower system to operate continuously while maintaining a constant liquid level of the materials inside the tower.
The selection of a dehydration tower reboiler depends on various factors, including the properties of the materials, the required vaporization rate of the system, and operational flexibility. Different types of reboiler, such as kettle reboiler, thermosiphon reboiler, falling film reboiler, etc., each have their own characteristics and applicable scope. For example, the falling film reboiler uses its unique liquid distribution device to evenly distribute the liquid inside the heating tube, forming a thin film like flow. This design improves heat transfer efficiency and reduces heat transfer temperature difference losses, making it particularly suitable for reboiler of heat sensitive materials and high vacuum distillation towers.
