Stainless steel industrial tubular heat exchangers are shell and tube devices in which a bundle of stainless steel tubes is enclosed by a cylindrical shell. The tubes-often corrugated or finned and made from AISI 316L for the product side and AISI 304 for the service side-provide a large heat transfer surface while offering excellent resistance to corrosion, high temperature oxidation, and fouling.
Heat is transferred between the fluid flowing inside the tubes (tube pass) and the fluid flowing around the tubes in the shell (shell pass), allowing efficient heating, cooling, evaporation, or condensation. The design incorporates baffles, tube sheets, and O ring seals to ensure uniform flow distribution, low pressure drop, and leak tight operation.
Because of their hygienic surface finish (Ra<0.8µm) and compliance with foodgrade standards, these exchangers are widely used in chemical processing, petrochemical, power generation, food & beverage, and pharmaceutical industries where stringent corrosion resistance and cleanliness are required.
Typical operating ranges span -40°C to +180°C and pressures up to 10bar(g), with customizable lengths from 1.5m to 6m to suit diverse process demands.
