A degassing tower usually consists of a tower body and internal packing. Gas enters the tower body from the bottom, passes through the packing layer, and impurities will be adsorbed or absorbed by the packing. Fillers usually have a larger surface area to increase the contact area between the gas and the filler, thereby improving the separation effect of impurities.
The working principle of the degassing tower can be divided into the following steps:
Adsorption: The surface of the filler has a certain adsorption performance, which can adsorb impurity molecules in the gas. When gas passes through the packing layer, impurity molecules will be adsorbed on the surface of the packing.
Absorption: The filler may contain an absorbent that can react chemically with impurities in the gas to absorb them. Absorbents can be liquids or solids, depending on the properties of the impurities.
Separation: After passing through the packing layer, impurities in the gas have been adsorbed or absorbed, while pure gas is discharged from the top of the tower. Impurities can be treated by replacing the packing or regenerating the packing.
The working principle of the degassing tower can be adjusted and optimized according to specific applications and the properties of impurities to achieve better separation results.
