 A condenser, a component of a refrigeration system, is a type of heat exchanger that can convert gas or vapor into a liquid and quickly transfer heat from the pipe to the air near the pipe. The working process of the condenser is an exothermic process, so the temperature of the condenser is relatively high. Power plants use many condensers to condense the steam emitted by the turbines. In refrigeration plants, condensers are used to condense refrigeration vapors such as ammonia and Freon. In the petrochemical industry, condensers are used to condense hydrocarbons and other chemical vapors. The device that converts steam into liquid during the distillation process is also known as a condenser. All condensers operate by taking away the heat of gases or vapors.
