Design principle of compressed air tank
The nature of the storage medium is an important factor in selecting the form of storage tanks and storage systems. The most important characteristics of a medium include flammability, saturated vapor pressure, density, corrosiveness, toxicity, and chemical reactivity (such as polymerization trend). The classification and level of flammability of storage media can be found in relevant fire safety regulations.
Saturated vapor pressure refers to the vapor pressure at the gas-liquid interface in a closed container at a certain temperature when the gas-liquid two-phase equilibrium is reached. It varies with temperature but is related to the volume. For liquids such as liquefied petroleum gas and liquefied natural gas, they are not pure substances, but a mixture. The saturation vapor pressure at this time is related to the mixing ratio. Calculations can be made according to Dalton's law and Raoult's law. When the stored medium is a liquid with high viscosity or high freezing point, to maintain its fluidity, the storage equipment needs to be heated or insulated to keep it in a convenient transportation state.
