Structure and classification of storage tanks
Vertical storage tanks mainly consist of a tank body and supporting equipment. The tank body is made of sheet metal, with a discharge port at the bottom, and a vent hole, inlet and outlet, and auxiliary facilities at the top of the tank.
According to the characteristics of different storage substances, vertical storage tanks are divided into many types, such as tanks in contact with oxidants, tanks in contact with combustible gases, tanks in contact with toxic substances, etc. Each type of storage tank has its own specific process requirements.
Installation of vertical storage tanks
1. Basic production: The storage tank needs to be built on a sturdy, flat, and waterless foundation, with reinforced concrete used as the foundation.
2. Installation of tank body and supporting equipment: The tank body and supporting equipment are connected by bolts, and the supporting equipment includes supporting structures, load-bearing structures, etc
3. Sealing connection: The storage tank adopts sealing connection methods, such as flange connection, threaded connection, etc. The sealing connection should comply with relevant standard requirements.
4. Internal cleaning of the tank: After installation, it is necessary to clean the inside of the tank. The cleaning agent should meet the characteristics of the stored substance, be safe and harmless, and should be thoroughly rinsed after cleaning.
