The working principle of the preheater:
1. Heat transfer process: The preheater contains a series of heat transfer surfaces inside, which are usually made of materials with good thermal conductivity, such as metals. When a fluid or gas passes through a preheater, they come into contact with the heat transfer surface, and thermal energy begins to transfer from the heat transfer surface to the fluid or gas. The way of heat transfer can be convective heat transfer, radiative heat transfer, or conductive heat transfer between heat transfer surfaces. Convective heat transfer refers to the heat exchange process between a fluid or gas and the heat transfer surface; Radiation heat transfer refers to the transfer of heat energy through radiation; Conduction heat transfer refers to the transfer of heat through the interior of a substance.
2. Energy conversion process: When thermal energy is transferred to a fluid or gas, their temperature rises, thereby increasing their internal energy. This energy conversion can be described by the concept of heat capacity, which refers to the amount of heat required per unit mass of material to increase by 1 degree Celsius.
