PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Settling Tank for Slitter Exhaust Treatment
The main purpose of the settling tank in treating the exhaust gas for the slicer is to remove the solid particles (such as metal shavings, dust, etc.) in the exhaust gas through the principle of gravity settling, and its specific applications and working characteristics are as follows:
1. Core use
Separation of particles: For the exhaust gas generated by the slicer (usually containing metal particles, silicon powder, plastic debris, etc.), the low-flow rate design of the settling box is utilized to make the heavier particles naturally settle to the bottom under the effect of gravity, so as to realize gas-solid separation.
Pre-treatment function: as the primary purification equipment, reduce the load of subsequent dust removal equipment (such as bag filter, cyclone separator, wet scrubber), to extend its service life.
2. Characteristics of applicable working medium
Media composition: Slicer exhaust usually contains:
Solid particles: metal (such as silicon, aluminum), non-metallic (such as resin, plastic) cutting debris.
It may contain traces of cutting fluid oil mist or coolant vapors (which need to be treated in combination with other equipment).
Temperature and flow rate: the temperature of the exhaust gas is generally room temperature to medium temperature (if high temperature need to consider the heat resistance of the material), the flow rate needs to be reduced to 0.3 ~ 1.5 m/s to enhance the settlement effect.
3. Design key parameters
Box size: Calculate the volume of settling area according to the particle size and Stokes' regulation to ensure sufficient residence time.
Internal structure:
Baffle or deflector: extends the airflow path and promotes particle collision and settling.
Dust collection hopper: conical bottom design for easy collection and regular cleaning of sediments.
Material selection: Carbon steel (common metal chips), stainless steel (corrosion-resistant demand) or anti-static material (flammable dust).
4. Industry application scenarios
Photovoltaic/semiconductor industry: silicon powder recycling for silicon ingot slicer.
Metal processing: aluminum, copper and other metal cutting chips collection.
Plastic Processing: Dust treatment of PET, ABS and other plastic slicing.
5. Advantages and disadvantages
Advantages: simple structure, low maintenance cost, no energy consumption, high temperature resistance.
Disadvantages: only for large particles, need to clean the dust regularly, may need to be combined with a high-efficiency dust collector to meet the emission standards.
6. Suggestions for supporting system
If the exhaust gas contains oil mist or ultra-fine particles, a cyclone separator, electrostatic precipitator or filtration system should be connected in series.
Explosion-proof design: If the particles are combustible (e.g. aluminum powder), it is necessary to install explosion-discharge plate or nitrogen protection.
Settling boxes play the role of "coarse filtration" in the treatment of slicer exhaust, and are a cost-effective primary solution, but need to be optimized according to the specific characteristics of the particles (density, particle size distribution) and environmental requirements, or a combination of other purification technologies.

TRANSPORTATION
Given the substantial dimensions of our pressure vessels, which often exceed 20,000mm (787") x 3500mm (137") x 3500mm (137") or weigh more than 40T, transportation by truck is impractical. To overcome this, we partner with a nearby port. Initially, we transport the segmented devices via truck to the port. There, we expertly weld the pieces together, forming a complete unit. This full equipment is then shipped to the Shanghai port, ready for export across the seas.
